Background and Education
Angela Lumzy Jones graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies. She attended Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2001. While at Southern, Ms. Jones was a student attorney in the Clinical Education Program representing indigents in civil litigation.

Ms. Jones is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court, and all state district and appellate courts. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
