David A. Francis

David's interest in helping those who have lost a loved one or have been injured began when he was 16 years old. His sister, who was 19 at the time, was killed in a motor vehicle accident at the hands of a negligent driver. During that time David's father was a plumber and their family lived in humble circumstances. David and his family grieved together over the loss of their beloved sister and daughter. During the grieving process, David watched as a large insurance company tried to persuade his parents to sign away their rights to pursue a claim, in exchange for a nominal amount. This experience stayed with David throughout his education and motivates him today to take on large companies while representing those who have lost a loved one or have been injured.

David earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University in Prove, Utah. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. As a law student David earned several distinguished awards including the American Juris Prudence Award for receiving the highest score of his class.

While a third year law student, David clerked for one of the most successful Plaintiffs personal injury law firms in the state of Nevada. Understanding the value of practicing as a defense attorney, and after completing law school, David accepted a job with one of the largest and most established defense firms in Nevada. During his two years as a defense attorney, David learned first hand how big insurance companies and their counsel often take advantage of accident victims. As an associate attorney for Mainor Eglet Cottle, David uses his professional experience and personal passion to help those who may otherwise be taken advantage of.

When he's not fighting for his clients, David enjoys spending time with his family. As a former member of the U.S. Cycling team, and teammate to Lance Armstrong, David enjoys riding his bicycle. His cycling successes include winning the gold medal at the Junior Olympic Festival in Mexico City, Mexico, as well as many other competitions in North America and Europe. He also enjoys golfing, reading and spending time in several church and community service capacities. David is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, Clark County State Bar Association, and National Trial Lawyers Association.
