J. McDavid Flowers, Jr. is an attorney with the Dothan office of The Cochran Firm. He currently focuses his practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on environmental law. McDavid is admitted to practice in all Alabama State Courts and all Federal Courts in the Middle District of Alabama. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association and the Houston County Bar Association.

A native of Dothan, McDavid received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law where he received the Order of the Samaritan and the Dean’s Community Service Award. He received his Masters of Environmental Management in Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University and has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Auburn University.

Prior to joining The Cochran Firm, McDavid worked for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He also was an associate with Pew Charitable Trusts where he served as the recreational fishing outreach coordinator for the Pew Environmental Group.
