Together they are leaders in the Los Angeles trial lawyers bar, and with Partner Brian Dunn, they are the leaders of our firm. All The Cochran Firm attorneys are skilled trial lawyers, and Mr. Barrett applies a team concept to use our resources fighting for justice in every case. Though most of our work involves matters of catastrophic injury (traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, lacerations, fractures, chronic pain syndromes, burns, amputations) and wrongful death, The Cochran Firm evaluates every case individually, and will take matters involving damage to reputation, business, or unfair discrimination on the basis of race, age, gender, ethnicity, or other illegal conduct.

Mr. Barrett is a leader in the Los Angeles trial lawyer bar, and has been for over a decade. He was elected to the Executive Committee of The Consumer Attorney’s Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) in 2009, and is expected to serve as CAALA's President in 2015. He is on the Board of Governors for The Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC). Mr. Barrett is a long-standing member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

He is often seen in the community helping out, teaching civics, Constitutional law, civil liberties and related topics in middle schools and high schools.
