With his unique brand of Boston Irish charm, intellect, passion, preparation and creativity, Joseph M. Barrett has been able to obtain success for his clients through trial and settlement during his 18 years of practice as an attorney in the Los Angeles area. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Joseph has spent the last 25 years in Los Angeles, California. He is a family man, with a wonderful wife and four children. He is known for his honesty, integrity, and effort.
Joseph received his Bachelor of Arts (Journalism/Political Science) in 1981 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1989. He was admitted to practice in California in 1989 in State and Federal Courts. He has also had trials in Nevada and Hawaii.
Joseph is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and serves on the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorney Association of Los Angeles (CAALA). In 2006 and 2007, Joseph was recognized as one of Southern California's Super Lawyers. In what spare time his family and professional obligations leave him, Joseph enjoys sports and involvement in community activities which help the poor and provide opportunities for excellence in our youth.
