James D. Montgomery Jr.

Mr. Montgomery received his Bachelor's of Science degree from Stanford University in 1979. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law. Mr. Montgomery began his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand specializing in federal and state tax consulting. Later he practiced with the firm of James D. Montgomery & Associates for five years concentrating in civil and criminal litigation. He continued his professional career with McDonald's Corporation in the legal department as Senior and Managing Counsel until moving into the management ranks for the company. Mr. Montgomery joined Cochran, Cherry, Givens, Smith & Montgomery in June of 2004.

Mr. Montgomery is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
