Following service with the United States Navy, Larry Givens attended the University of Alabama where he graduated with a degree in Marketing/Management. Before returning to Alabama for Law School, Mr. Givens worked in various sales/management positions in the agricultural supply industry. Mr. Givens is a 1992 (Dec.) Graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. While in Law School, he was named an outstanding first year advocate.

Mr. Givens became a member of the Alabama Bar in April of 1993 and the Georgia Bar in May of 1994. He has practiced with Cochran, Cherry, Givens & Smith (or its predecessor) since graduation. Givens is a member of the ATLA, the GTLA, and the Houston County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts for the Middle District of Alabama, the Southern District of Alabama and the Middle District of Georgia. Emphasis is on a general plaintiff's practice including personal injury, automobile cases, wrongful death, fraud and worker's compensation.

Mr. Givens is married to the former Georgia Ann Hall and they have two sons, Shane and Trent.
