Terry is a 1983 graduate of Troy State University, Troy, Alabama where he received his Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. He received his Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama in 1990. He is a member of the Houston County Alabama Bar Associatlon, Alabama State Bar Association and the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to the United States District Court.
