After graduating from the Legal Honors program, Mr. Katahira worked in HUD\u2019s Office of General Counsel, Office of Program Enforcement, where he helped negotiate settlements for mortgage borrowers who unlawfully paid mortgage lenders pay-to-pay fees when paying their mortgages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During law school, Mr. Katahira worked on civil rights matters when externing for the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of North Carolina and interning for the Washington Lawyer\u2019s Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs and ACLU of North Carolina.
