James A. Bryant is the head of the entertainment and business division at the Cochran Firm \u2013 California. James is both a litigation\/trial and transactional attorney. His primary practice areas are entertainment, commercial\/business, intellectual property, employment and real estate. As a litigator, James has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in many high profile business, entertainment and intellectual property matters. As a transactional attorney, he has negotiated numerous film and television projects, from development to distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He began his legal career as an associate at a prestigious San Francisco law firm handling a number of high profile transactional and litigation matters including mergers and acquisitions, investment fund formation and secured transactions. James joined The Cochran Firm \u2013 California in 2014, establishing the firm\u2019s entertainment and business division. He has obtained numerous dismissals and nearly $20 million in jury verdicts, arbitration awards and settlements on behalf of his clients in both state and federal courts.
