{"id":1041,"date":"2022-02-23T16:04:43","date_gmt":"2022-02-23T16:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cochranfirm.com\/memphis\/three-mid-south-men-considered-witnesses-in-rayshard-brooks-shooting\/"},"modified":"2022-11-16T21:05:14","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T21:05:14","slug":"three-mid-south-men-considered-witnesses-in-rayshard-brooks-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cochranfirm.com\/memphis\/three-mid-south-men-considered-witnesses-in-rayshard-brooks-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Mid-South Men Considered Witnesses in Rayshard Brooks Shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Wednesday afternoon press conference of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/06\/14\/us\/rayshard-brooks-atlanta-shooting\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deadly officer-involved shooting of Rayshard Brooks in Atlanta<\/a> revealed three Mid-South Men considered witnesses at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Two are from West Memphis, Arkansas, while a third is from Memphis.<\/p>\n<p>An attorney representing all three witnesses said that one of the officer\u2019s bullets only narrowly missed his clients as they sat in their vehicle in a Wendy\u2019s parking lot June 12.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of those bullets entered my clients\u2019 vehicle, almost killing them. We could be here talking about four murders,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/cochranfirmmidsouth.com\/about\/shean-williams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attorney Shean Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Although the witnesses attended Wednesday\u2019s press conference, none of them spoke. Their attorney says they have been speaking to investigators, though.<\/p>\n<p>Williams said their statement \u201cconfirms that at no time was Mr. Brooks ever a threat to anyone, including the officers in that Wendy\u2019s parking lot.
