{"id":1091,"date":"2015-02-25T19:31:27","date_gmt":"2015-02-25T19:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cochranfirm.com\/washington-dc\/rams-head-president-charged-with-secretly-videotaping-women-in-bathroom-of-companys-savage-maryland-restaurant\/"},"modified":"2023-04-26T14:32:54","modified_gmt":"2023-04-26T19:32:54","slug":"rams-head-president-charged-with-secretly-videotaping-women-in-bathroom-of-companys-savage-maryland-restaurant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cochranfirm.com\/washington-dc\/rams-head-president-charged-with-secretly-videotaping-women-in-bathroom-of-companys-savage-maryland-restaurant\/","title":{"rendered":"Rams Head President Charged with Secretly Videotaping Women's Bathroom"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><b>Kyle Muehlhauser, restaurant group co-owner, and president, charged as peeping tom<\/b><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyle Muehlhauser, co-owner and president of the Rams Head Group, was booked by Howard County police on February 19, 2015, and charged with <strong>videotaping six women as they used the restroom<\/strong>. \u00a0Howard County police conducted a 10-month investigation into Muehlhauser after a female patron found a hidden camera in the bathroom of the Rams Head Tavern in Savage, Maryland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May 2014, a woman provided&nbsp;a &nbsp;digital camera to Howard County police after the camera&nbsp;fell from the ceiling and landed next to her in the bathroom. &nbsp;Police analysis of the camera showed it was pointed in the direction of the toilet, secretly capturing the images of six women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rams Head Tavern is part of the Rams Head Group of restaurants and concert venues owned by Kyle Muehlhauser and his father, Bill Muehlhauser. \u00a0The Savage, Maryland location was opened in April 2004 and is the largest of the Rams Head Tavern locations. \u00a0Kyle Muehlhauser is president of The Rams Head Group and serves as a member of the board of directors for the National Aquarium in Baltimore. \u00a0His Pier Six concert venue has a business relationship with the city of Baltimore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Howard County, Maryland police say DNA matches Muehlhauser<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Police identified Muehlhauser after they matched\u00a0images found on the hidden camera's memory device with the restaurant's\u00a0security footage. \u00a0Police obtained a search warrant to collect DNA from Muehlhauser and genetically matched it to DNA recovered from the camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muehlhauser faces six counts of unauthorized\u00a0video surveillance, carrying a sentence up to 30 days in jail and a $1,000 fine for each count (Md. Criminal Law\u00a0Code Ann. \u00a7 3-901(c)), as well as six counts of video surveillance with prurient intent (Md.
