On July 10, 2014, a Wal-Mart truck struck the Mercedes Sprinter bus in which Morgan was a passenger. The car crash killed fellow comedian James McNair and Morgan suffered a broken nose, fractured ribs, a broken leg and femur, and a traumatic brain injury. Morgan, 46, was hospitalized for more than a week and then transferred to a rehabilitation facility for several weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Two other passengers in the crash were also plaintiffs in the lawsuit. The driver of the Wal-Mart truck faces criminal charges and has pleaded not guilty. The criminal complaint alleges the driver operated his truck for more than 24 hours without sleeping.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan was unable to attend Saturday Night Live\u2019s 40th anniversary show in February due to injuries from the crash.
