Evans, partner at The Cochran Firm\u2019s Washington, D.C. office, was recently featured on the cover of East Carolina University\u2019s alumni magazine. Evans\u2019\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">story focuses on her lifelong goal of helping those in need, as well as her own rise\u00a0from an undergraduate student at ECU to eventually becoming a partner at\u00a0The Cochran Firm, D.C.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The article chronicles Evans\u2019 time at ECU and the important people in her life who inspired her career path to fulfill her goal of helping others. Evans\u2019 mother was a nurse growing up and after visiting ECU\u2019s campus to see the university\u2019s nursing program, she settled on East Carolina University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While at ECU, Evans met her husband of 32 years and learned about the opportunities joining the military could provide for her. Evans joined the Air Force as a Lieutenant after graduation and gave six years of service to her country, eventually achieving the rank of Captain. It was during her time in the military that Evans became inspired to harness her skills as a nurse to become an attorney.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After graduating law school and spending five years as a medical malpractice defense attorney, Evans found her calling as an advocate for those hurt by negligence and medical malpractice. Evans joined The Cochran Firm, D.C. as a partner in 2013.
