Hundreds of injuries and dozens of deaths are blamed on GM ignition switches, which can cut power to vehicles while being operated on roadways.<\/p>\n<p>The ignition switches installed by GM were not manufactured with enough torque to keep the key in the \u201con\u201d position if bumped by a driver\u2019s knee or pulled down by a heavy key chain. Drivers operating these vehicles will lose all power steering, power brakes, and have their airbags disabled if the key is switched into the \u201coff\u201d or \u201caccessory\u201d position.<\/p>\n<h3>List of Cadillac vehicles recalled<\/h3>\n<p>The following Cadillac vehicles are under recall by the NHTSA:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CTS 2003-2014 (557,000 vehicles)<\/li>\n<li>Deville 2000-2005 (194,000)<\/li>\n<li>DTS 2006-2011 (187,000 vehicles)<\/li>\n<li>SRX 2004-2006 (75,000 vehicles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>GM ignition switch injury lawyer<\/h3>\n<p>General Motors has set up a $400 million compensation fund for victims who have been hurt in an accident due to their defective ignition switches.
