Pontiac Solstice cars produced from 2006-2010 are under recall by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) because the ignition switches can shut off suddenly while under operation. Once a Pontiac Solstice’s ignition is switched into the off position, a driver will lose steering and braking power and the airbag will be disabled.

GM has set aside $400 million in anticipation of payouts to claims from these defective parts. The deadline to file a claim has been extended to January 31, 2015 and the personal injury attorneys at the Cochran Firm’s Washington, D.C. office are actively investigating these claims. If you or a loved one was injured while driving a Pontiac Solstice produced between 2006-2010 then you could be eligible for substantial compensation. Because strict time deadlines apply, please contact us at your earliest convenience for a free, prompt case review.

2006-2010 Pontiac Solstice lawsuit

The Pontiac Solstice was released with great acclaim and received many awards, including North American Car of the Year in 2006. It was manufactured until 2010 when GM was forced to liquidate Pontiac as part of its bailout program with the federal government.
32,000 Pontiac Solstice vehicles are under the NHTSA’s recall and Pontiac has three other models under recall including the Grand Am, Grand Prix, and G5.
