Terris C. Harris has spent the last 17 years building an exemplary career in the legal profession. Mr. Harris practice focuses largely on the litigation of complex disputes involving common law, statutory law, contract law, minority shareholder disputes, physician and hospital liability law, product liability law, aviation law, commercial, corporate and business issues, catastrophic personal injury cases, brain damaged baby cases, and class action/mass torts/pharmaceutical litigation. More specifically, over the course of his career, he has successfully litigated qui tam/whistleblower cases, white collar healthcare fraud cases, defective drugs cases, crashworthiness product cases, premises liability cases and asbestos cases.
Terris, a native Mississippian, is a decorated U.S. Marine and served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. After being Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, Terris earned his B.S. in Psychology and his B.S. in Mass Communications from Jackson State University, his J.D. from the University of Mississippi, and his Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago. Terris is licensed to practice in Mississippi and Illinois.
Mr. Harris is enthusiastically involved in economic development, community activities and aeronautical activities outside the practice of law. He has served on non-profit boards, worked with Boy Scouts of America, worked actively with his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, enjoys all aspects of aviation, and is an avid hunter. Terris is married to Demetria Harris, and they are the proud parents of Terris II, Tori and Taylor.
