Born in 1970, Scott Lucas attended undergraduate school at Towson State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in 1995. He attended law school at Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1999. During his final year at Catholic he was a member of the Thurgood Marshall Inn of Court.
Scott immediately began litigating cases upon becoming a lawyer, first as a member of the defense bar where his practice centered around insurance defense litigation. It was there that he became intimately familiar with the processes involved in the evaluation and handling of personal injury claims from the perspective of insurance carriers. In 2004 Scott took the knowledge and experience he had gained with him when he switched to exclusively representing plaintiffs in personal injury claims.
Scott is admitted to the Maryland Bar (1999), the District of Columbia Bar (2002) and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland (2001). He is a member of the Maryland Association of Justice and the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association. Scotts legal practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury, catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
