As a partner in the Los Angeles office, Brian T. Dunn was originally hired as a specialist in civil rights litigation, with an emphasis on police misconduct cases. He has handled many of the Los Angeles office's most high profile police misconduct cases, including those involving Reginald Denny and Geronimo Pratt. Mr. Dunn was also instrumental in prosecuting the litigation surrounding the tragic shootings of Devin Brown ($1.5 Million Settlement), Tyisha Miller ($3 Million Settlement), Mario Paz ($3 Million Settlement), and William Wilkins ($3.5 Million Settlement), cases which not only brought multimillion dollar settlement awards to the plaintiffs, but additionally resulted in unprecedented changes in the departmental policies of the Los Angeles, Riverside, El Monte, and Oakland Police Departments.

In recent years Mr. Dunn has expanded his areas of focus to include premises liability, auto & truck negligence, and severe personal injury cases. He was lead counsel for the plaintiffs in the cases of Sutton, et al. v. Joe Coehlo Trucking, et al., and Bentwood, et al. v. Host Marriott, et al., both of which were auto & truck negligence cases culminating in multimillion dollar settlements. Additionally, Mr. Dunn was lead trial counsel in the case of Keith Nelson v. Los Angeles Unified School District, a premises liability case which resulted in a $7.8 million gross verdict for the plaintiff.

Brian has recently teamed-up with Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley on the Three Strikes Reform Act of 2006, a proposed initiative that would mandate 25-years-to-life sentences be imposed after a third offense only if that offense falls under specified exceptions or is a serious or violent felony.

In 2006, Mr. Dunn was honored by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of the "Top 20 Under 40" attorneys in California, and has been honored as a "Super Lawyer" by Los Angeles Magazine in 2006 and in 2004.

As a licensed attorney in multiple jurisdictions, Mr. Dunn is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Nevada, and has practiced in the United States District Courts for the Central District of California, Eastern District of California, Northern District of California, and has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. Brian is a Member of the Consumer Attorneys' Association of Los Angeles and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Brian Dunn earned his B.A. with honors from the University of California at Berkeley, with a major in Rhetoric. He attended the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
