Ibiere Seck is an associate attorney in The Cochran Firm Los Angeles office, where her law practice focuses on products liability, negligence, major personal injury litigation, civil rights, and medical malpractice.

Ms. Seck received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Journalism Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University in 2003, where she was a recipient of the Alice S. Ayling and Charles Irwin Travelli Scholarship, served as President of the Black Student Association and was Editor-in-Chief of the Onyx Informer Newspaper. She received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 2007.

While obtaining her law degree, Ms. Seck earned several distinctions, including being selected as a member of the nationally recognized Byrne Trial Advocacy Team; participating in the Williams Civil Rights Litigation Program; earning highest honors in the Hobbs/Poehls Trial Advocacy Program; and being selected as a recipient of the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation Scholarship. Her activities included the Black Law Students Association, Young Lawyers and Trial Advocacy.

In 2010, Ms. Seck was recognized as a Rising Star for the Super Lawyers and Los Angeles Lawyer publications.

Ms. Seck volunteers and serves as a member of the advisory boards for the Mesereau Free Legal Clinic in South-Central Los Angeles and the Western Center for Law and Poverty. She also works with middle and high school students through a number of trial advocacy and debate programs.

Ms.Seck is a member of the California State Bar, the Bar of the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Black Women Lawyers, Langston Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Consumer Attorneys of California and Consumer Attorney Association of Los Angeles (CAALA).

Prior to joining The Cochran Firm, Ms. Seck worked as a prosecutorial extern with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and as a civil rights intern with Inner City Law Center where she advocated for the homeless and working poor.

When not advocating for her clients, mentoring young people and serving her community, Ms. Seck enjoys traveling, yoga, reading, photography, running and spending time with her family. She speaks French and Wolof, a language spoken primarily in Senegal, West Africa.
