Monica del Carmen Sanchez is the managing partner of Cochran-Latino, The Sanchez Firm. Ms. Sanchez was born in Panama, Republic of Panama on March 24, 1973. She graduated in three years from Ohio University in 1994 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science. She attended Loyola University School of Law from which she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 1998. Monica obtained a L.L.M. (Master of Law) degree in International and Comparative Law in 2003, from Tulane University School of Law.
Ms. Sanchez is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court, and all state district and appellate courts. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ms. Sanchez has more than ten years of experience practicing law in the area of personal injury. She has represented victims of automobile accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability and other forms of personal injuries. Ms. Sanchez was part of a trial team that obtained a $6 million verdict in 2004.
Ms. Sanchez has made numerous appearances on local television and radio shows discussing various legal topics. She was also featured in an article which appeared in the prominent Hispanic magazine “Vocero, U.S.A.” She was also part of an article in a Guatemalan newspaper discussing her help with several local Guatemalan immigrants. In , Ms. Sanchez is counsel to the Mexican and Honduran consulates. She is the vice president of the Hispanic bar association.
