Considered by his peers as one of the most successful, innovative and feared trial lawyers in Nevada, Robert Eglet has the distinction of being the firm's most experienced trial counsel.
A resident of Nevada since childhood, Mr. Eglet graduated from Western High School in Las Vegas. Upon graduation, Mr. Eglet went on to earn a B.S. in Economics, with Honors, from The University of Nevada. He then went on to receive his law degree from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
After graduation from law school, Mr. Eglet returned to Las Vegas, joining one of Nevada's oldest and largest law firms, where he spent the next four years developing his skills as a trial lawyer. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Eglet started his own law firm where he successfully managed the firm's growth from two to 12 attorneys over the next decade. In 2000, Mr. Eglet began his partnership with Randy Mainor and his four partners, quickly distinguishing himself as one of Nevada's preeminent trial lawyers.
Mr. Eglet's skills when trying serious injury and wrongful death cases has resulted in one multi-million dollar verdict after another, including the largest verdict in Nevada for sexually inappropriate contact with a patient by her physician. In the past three years, Mr. Eglet has obtained verdicts and settlement totaling $45,000,000 on behalf of his clients.
Robert's achievements as a trail lawyer earned him membership in The Million Dollar Advocated Forum, and an "AV" rating from Martindale - Hubbell, the highest rating that an attorney can achieve. The "AV" ratings are bestowed upon attorneys who demonstrate preeminent legal liability, coupled with exceptional ethical standards. Only a small percentage of attorneys reach this pinnacle rating by their peers. Mr. Eglet obtained his "AV" rating after only 14 years of practice.
Mr. Eglet is a member of the Board of Governors for the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association where he has been honored as a Pillar of Justice, an award given to attorneys who support the work of NTLA and its fiscal soundness and prosperity; have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the legal profession; and have a desire to leave something of permanence as a legacy to the association, its members and their clients. In addition, Robert is also a Fellow and Benefactor with the Nevada Law Foundation; an Advocate with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; and a graduate of Hastings School of Law, College of Trial Advocacy and National College of Advocacy. As a result of Mr. Eglet's success as a trial lawyer, he is routinely asked to lecture to his peers on trial techniques.
When Mr. Eglet is not pursuing the rights of injured victims, he and his wife Tracy Eglet, also a partner in the firm split their time between their three children and the charitable and youth organizations they support. Robert also serves as vice-president of the Rainbow Youth Soccer League.
