Tuskegee University figures featured in first edition of ‘Who’s Who in Black Alabama’

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (June 7, 2011) — Several local and university figures were honored at a reception unveiling the inaugural edition of  “Who’s Who in Black Alabama” on June 4 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. Among the honorees representing Tuskegee University were: President Gilbert L. Rochon; Legand Burge, dean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences; Warren Duncan, director of bands; attorney Jock Smith, a member of the Tuskegee University Board of Trustees; and Muhjah Shaker, assistant professor of occupational therapy.

“Who’s Who” is published annually, and features pictures and biographical data on a number of distinguished black leaders from various career disciplines.
