Cochran Firm attorney and Cochran Firm Dallas Partner Nicole Taylor won the Democratic primary race for Texas’ Dallas County Court at Law 5 on Tuesday, 3/2/2022.  As an attorney for over 21 years, Nicole has litigated in Dallas County civil courts on matters that include discovery disputes and motions, and jury and bench trials in commercial litigation and litigation management in federal and state courts.

Nicole is currently a Partner at The Cochran Firm Dallas, with her husband Larry Taylor and fellow Partner Bryan Pope, where she represents non-profits, businesses, trade associations, foundations, governmental entities, and social service organizations. Nicole’s focuses her practice in the areas of labor and employment, corporate and business, real estate, finance and taxation.

A longtime Dallas County resident, Nicole and her family are frequent supporters of Democratic campaigns and voting access protection initiatives.  She formerly served as a Democratic Precinct Chair and as a Voter Deputy Registrar for Dallas County.  She is active  in and serves as Chair of Diversity for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association as well as a member of the American Association for Justice, the J.L. Turner Legal association, and Dallas Bar Association.  As a member of the Texas Democratic Lawyers Association Nicole participated in voter protection initiatives during the 2020 General Election.

As a breast cancer survivor, she advocates for patients who are diagnosed with the disease and serves on the board of 1060 Foundation, Inc.  The non-profit organization supports single mothers who are fighting breast cancer and their families.

Attorney Taylor earned her undergrad at Clemson University before earning her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of law.  Before joining The Cochran Firm Nicole worked as a Partner of West and Associates and at Adorno Yoss White & Wiggins as a Senior Associate.

Nicole believes that everyone deserves a fair judge and a fair legal process.  Her pledge is that everyone deserves to be heard.

When she is not advocating for clients, Nicole is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She has been a member for 27 years and serves in Regional and National leadership roles.
